About inpageunicode.com

inpageunicode.com is a set of free Urdu tools: converters between InPage text and Unicode Urdu, a Word file converter, an online Urdu typing tool, a printable InPage keyboard layout and a page of Urdu fonts.

Who runs this site

The site is published by InpageUnicode.com, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. We build small, fast language tools; our other sites convert legacy Hindi and Tamil fonts to Unicode.

Why it exists

A great deal of Urdu is still composed in InPage: newspapers, magazines, books, madrasa publications and government notices. The same text then has to go on WhatsApp, Facebook and websites, which only understand Unicode. The converters people were using capped the length, reversed numbers and dates, or broke on hamza and erab. We wanted one that a newspaper desk could trust with a full page.

How we check accuracy

Every change to the conversion tables is tested against hundreds of word and sentence pairs, including every letter in every position, all hamza forms, digits, erab, brackets, mixed English and a full-length news article. Every option is tested switched on and off. If you find a word that converts wrongly, please send it to us through the contact page; each report becomes a new test.

Your privacy

All conversion, typing and Word file handling runs inside your browser. Your text and files are never sent to our server. Details are in the privacy policy.
